Sumo Trio Combination Cultivator
The UK’s market-leading one-pass solution for efficient, sustainable cultivation
The Sumo Trio is a proven, high-performance combination cultivator designed to transform your cultivation system. Offering a powerful alternative to traditional ploughing, it works the entire soil profile in a single pass — loosening, mixing, and consolidating to create the ideal seedbed while reducing time, fuel, and labour costs.
Perfect for farmers transitioning from plough-based systems to minimum tillage, the Trio improves soil structure, enhances moisture retention, and supports more sustainable farming by minimising soil disturbance and reducing carbon loss.
Key Benefits
Three Operations in One Pass
The Trio combines deep loosening legs, mixing discs, and the renowned Multipacka roller to complete primary and secondary cultivation in one efficient operation.
Breaks Compaction Effectively
Staggered deep-working legs fracture compacted layers, including plough pans, without bringing large clods to the surface — improving root development and soil health.
Excellent Residue Incorporation
Twin rows of serrated concave discs mix soil and crop residues thoroughly, promoting even tilth and faster organic matter breakdown.
Multipacka Consolidation
The integrated Multipacka roller leaves a firm, level, and weatherproof finish, helping retain moisture, reduce erosion, and prepare the field for drilling.
Highly Versatile
Suitable for a wide range of soil types and conditions, the Trio is ideal for both primary and secondary cultivation. Adjustable working depth ensures optimal performance in varying field conditions.
One-Pass Drilling Capability
With optional seeder and SDO (Single Disc Opener) attachments, the Trio can be converted into a one-pass drilling system for even greater efficiency.
Built for Longevity
Manufactured in the UK using heavy-duty, high-spec components, the Trio is engineered to withstand demanding workloads season after season.
