The STRAKE is a versatile harrow which offers a multitude of benefits. The even distribution of chaff and straw combined with mixing with soil is essential when encouraging the growth of unwanted seeds including black grass and removing breeding grounds and food sources for slugs.
Rows of tungsten tipped tines cover the ground, eliminating clumps of straw whilst cultivating the surface, creating a shallow tilth, to chit rogue seeds. It's an essential machine for both strip-till and direct drilling.
Retractable tines
Alternate rows of tines can be hydraulically raised out of work, increasing the spacing from 75mm to 150mm. Improving the flow of material heavy in trashy conditions.
In addition, the working angle of the tines can be hydraulically adjusted too.
Spring tines
Spring tines provide a positive force on the stubble, ensure the tips remain in work whist following the ground and providing protection.
Tungsten tips
Hard-wearing 15mm wide tungsten tips slice through the ground and organic matter, evenly distributing organic matter and creating a well mixed, shallow tilth.
The Mounted STRAKE is available with a Cat 3 headstock and hydraulically folds for simple and convenient transport.
Tyres
When in work the transport wheels and resin filled depth wheels combine to provide a consistent working depth and tilth.
Drawbar
A choice of drawbar attachments combine with the adjustable chassis to ensure the STRAKE tines all work at the same depth.
